Keelan retained an ownership share after she failed to meet her reserve as a yearling. She went on to win the Listed Debutant Stakes at Caulfield on debut, finish second in the Listed Calaway Gal Stakes and fourth in the Group 3 Ottawa Stakes.

Happy Fat Cat developed into a highly successful and consistent performer, winning nine races and earning more than HK$9.2 million — approximately €1 million in prize money.
